With initiatives like this in place, it is likely that more will follow suit. Guests will continue to invest in reusable water bottles to stay hydrated, save money and reduce their environmental footprint, and they will be expecting to fill them up with clean, healthy and easy options wherever they go.

To stay on top of these current trends and reduce your use of bottled water while providing quality options for guests, use on-site filtration where possible. Placing water filling stations in convenient places, such as in the lobby and next to ice machines on each floor, will help increase access to and use of these systems.

Consider offering “Hydration Stations,” providing reusable bottles for guests to use with these filtration systems to fit their needs. Glass bottles are great for in-house use, while reusable aluminum bottles offer a “to-go” selection for guests.
