Define how Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is represented at Welspun USA, Inc. and how it has defined your company.
At Welspun USA,, 55% of employees are women. We are also an EEO employer and ensure that DEI training is provided to all the employees. At the group level we have been able to increase the participation of Women from 7% in 2014 to >26% in 2024. We have created “Spun” centers to support women to be financially independent. We also provide support to farmers in the region to improve their cotton crop yield so they can improve their income. Welspun has also “adopted” villages by providing infrastructure like roads, WiFi, Schools near our manufacturing facilities.
Sustainability
Define how Welspun USA, Inc. is driving sustainability changes across the company?
We are following ESG strategy (Environmental, Social and Governance) where we have over 120 parameters identified where goals are defined, progress is measured and published regularly. We are working to become carbon neutral and, in those directions, we have become water positive facility, working on a solar energy generation, with 100% green STP at facilities.
Long Term Goals
What are your company’s long-term goals related to diversity and sustainability?
ESG goals are defined with long term goals till 2030, the following slide shows major targets and achievements will last year. These are as an example, similar goals and tracking being done for all the identified parameters. Regarding DEI, Welspun will continue to focus on increasing the share of Women in the workforce, support Women Athletes, Support more than 50,000 farmers to improve their standard of living.
