Headquartered in Galveston, Texas, 1859 Historic Hotels is a management company made up of 13 independent hotels. The company believes in letting the individual character of each property shine and avoids “cookie cutter” solutions to hotel management. So when Vice President of Operations Dan Dick was struggling to keep costs under control while still enabling each hotel to operate independently, his master food distributor recommended he contact Avendra.

Dan found the process enlightening.

We have a lot of people we can turn to, and that was never available to us in the past. Each property now has a dedicated Field Support representative to educate them on the program and help them meet specific goals. In addition, our Account Manager helps to open up new lines of communication and we’ve seen it work,” Dan reported.
